For our first celebration of Summer’s bounty, we’re honoring one of Chef Barbara’s very favorite vegetables, the artichoke!

Native to the area surrounding the Mediterranean, records of artichokes date back to the ancient Greeks and Romans who cultivated them in what is now Sicily. Artichokes have become a late Spring staple in modern Italian cuisine.

Join us at Sportello for a celebration of the seasonal produce that we wait for all year long in New England.

On the second Sunday of each month, we’ll dedicate dinner entirely to one seasonal fruit or vegetable, showcasing it through a four-course menu served family-style with beverage pairings.
